Ellie started playing the violin, or rather the "fiddle", at 8 years old. 

Beginning with a passion for Celtic music, her artistic journey has led her through the worlds of circus, theatre, "trad" sessions, orchestras, choirs, jazz bands and opera, all of which have left their mark on her musical style and unique stage presence.​​​
